Our Story
After moving to Tennessee, following an evacuation from Hurricane Irma, the charming town of Franklin offered our seven children a beautiful life. Within months, our supersized family traded the beach for farm living and settled into a home with a heartwarming history. Little did we know that opportunity would come knocking just a few short weeks later when we were approached to shoot an episode of Property Brothers. What we thought was just an exciting day of filming led to an explosion of possibilities from interior design for country music stars, national media appearances and partnerships with hundreds of brands. With features in House Beautiful, People and Southern Living, a writing contract with HGTV, and serving as HomeGoods "Style Expert," my design career was officially launched.
While it has been an exciting series of developments that I feel very blessed and fortunate to have, nothing is more important to me than using my good fortune to advocate on behalf of adoption and foster care and bless those in need. A move back to Florida opened new doors and this platform has now funded college educations, donated cars to those in seasons of struggle, provided respite for the grieving and created scholarships for students. As an adoptive parent, I'm passionate about bringing awareness to the process of adoption and the needs of children in foster care. While I'm grateful to be able to design beautiful bedrooms for these special children, I'm more hopeful that our family's journey will inspire others to explore this amazing experience and take care of one another through random acts of kindness.
